The Thought

I've been thinking about this for quite a while.

Lately, passings & funerals have been aplenty. Well, not that many, but enough to eclipse the number that I have been through in the past few years.

Sometimes, sitting there listening to all that has been shared about the person, gets me thinking,

What kind of life have you actually lived?
One that is full of incompletion? regret? or fulfillment?

Its all about the legacy that you leave behind.

A friend told me this story about a real-life person:

A newly graduated doctor, who started Med School at the age of 16 and aspires to be a pediatric neurosurgeon, put every dollar he made into a retirement fund.

His goal in life wasn't to get a big fancy car, or a big fancy house.
He wanted to retire at the age of 30, so that he could spend the rest of his life performing brain surgeries for free.

That's a legacy.

What kind of legacy are we all leaving behind?

Challenged,
Shaun
