Come approximately 12 hours time, I shall step into Monash University a freshman. A young mind naive and unpolished, ready to learn and absorb all they have to offer.
The journey is gonna be long, not to mention tiring and unpredictable. I've spent countless nights thinking of what to expect, what I'm leaving behind, what sacrifices I have to make, and most importantly, what challenges may come my way.
The nagging voice at the back of my head keeps going, "Shaun, are you really ready for this?"
In all honesty, the inner child in me is terrified and just wants to back down.
Yet, another voice, one that does not belong to me, constantly tells me not to fear. Time and time again I am reminded that my future is secure in His hands, and that I have absolutely nothing to lose, but everything to gain.
The excitement comes pulsating in, like a rush of adrenaline flowing through my veins.
"Shaun, are you really ready for this?"
Dim the lights, cue the music.
Let's do this.
